Jacob Frederick is the founder of Carolina Wholesale Sign Installation. A proud alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where he studied Political Science and played football, Jacob developed the leadership, discipline, and work ethic that continue to guide him in business today. Growing up around his father and grandfather’s commercial and residential job sites, he gained an early understanding of the construction industry and developed a hands-on approach to problem solving that carries through in every project his company completes.

With a background in sales and marketing, Jacob focuses on building strong relationships with clients and delivering dependable, high-quality work. His goal has always been to build a company known for integrity, craftsmanship, and reliability in the sign installation industry.

Outside of work, Jacob is a devoted father to his two sons, Clay and Bo, and a loving husband to his high school sweetheart. He values faith, family, and friendship, and as a committed follower of Christ, he strives to lead both his business and his life with integrity, humility, and purpose.

Chief Technician

Joshua Maines is the Chief Technician for Carolina Wholesale Sign Installation and one of the most dependable members of the team. His commitment to completing every job with precision and craftsmanship sets a strong standard for quality in the field. With a diverse background across multiple areas of construction, Josh has developed a practical understanding of how jobs come together, allowing him to quickly identify challenges and find effective solutions on site.

Josh is known for his steady leadership, strong work ethic, and the pride he takes in doing the job right. His communication and people skills help create a positive experience for both clients and coworkers, making him someone the team and customers can rely on.

Outside of work, Josh is a proud father to his daughter and values the time he spends with his fiance Kat and his brother. Whether on a job site or at home, he brings loyalty, dedication, and heart to everything he does.

Head of Accounts and Marketing

Katie serves as the head of accounts and marketing at Carolina Wholesale Sign Installation. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where she studied Political Science and Pre-Law, Katie developed strong leadership and organizational skills that continue to guide her work today. During her time at the university, she was an active member of the Tri Sigma sorority and held several leadership roles that helped shape her ability to lead and support a team.

With a professional background in sales and marketing, Katie plays an essential role in keeping the business organized, efficient, and connected with clients. Her kindness, strong communication skills, and attention to detail help create smooth collaboration within the team and a positive experience for those the company serves.

Outside of work, Katie is a devoted wife to Jacob and a loving mother to their two sons, Clay and Bo. Faith and family are at the center of her life, and she is committed to putting God first in everything she does. Known for her compassion, strength, and genuine care for others, Katie brings the same heart and integrity to both her family and her work.

Vinyl Technician and Surveyor

James Lee serves as the Vinyl Technician and Surveyor at Carolina Wholesale Sign Installation. Known as the artist of the team, James brings a creative eye and steady attention to detail to every project he works on. His work with vinyl and site surveys helps ensure each installation begins with precision and the right preparation, allowing projects to move smoothly from planning to completion.

James has a natural ability to combine craftsmanship with creativity, making sure every detail looks right and reflects the quality our clients expect. His calm approach and dedication to doing things the right way make him a trusted part of the team in the field.

Outside of work, James is a devoted husband and proud father . He has a deep love for music and coffee, two things that often fuel both his creativity and his day. Whether he is working on a sign project or enjoying time with family and friends, James brings the same authenticity, care, and character to everything he does.

Lead Technician

Shy Wiley is a Lead Technician at Carolina Wholesale Sign Installation and is a key part of the team in the field. He is known for his steady work ethic, reliability, and ability to stay focused on getting the job done right. With strong hands-on experience, Shy plays an important role in making sure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the high standards the company expects.

His practical knowledge and calm approach help keep projects moving forward, even when challenges arise on site. Shy takes pride in his work and is committed to delivering results that clients can depend on.

Outside of work, Shy is a devoted husband to his wife, Edra. He values his family and brings the same loyalty and dedication to his personal life that he brings to the team each day.
